Program opens with a student extending the welcome of the city to President of the Philippines Ferdinand Marcos and his wife Imelda Marcos. This is followed by songs sung by the students.
President Marcos then speaks. He discusses the many advances his country has made, noting that they have a proud history. He notes that his nation is English speaking, and that they have fought imperial control.
His speech is followed by more musical numbers by the students.
