The first presidential debate is less than two weeks away. The 90-minute debate will be moderated by NBC News anchor Lester Holt at Hofstra University in New York.  Both candidates will be at a podium. The moderator will ask a question and each candidate will have two minutes to respond.

It's a debate format that has been the same since Richard Nixon debated John F. Kennedy in 1960.  Are the debates in need of a format overhaul?

Yesterday, Donald Trump shared his preferred format on CNBC, saying, "I think maybe we should have no moderator. Let Hillary and I sit there and just debate. The system is being rigged so it's going to be a very unfair debate."
