A new study published in the journal Nature Neuroscience finds that caffeine may strengthen memory.
Participants in the study were given either placebo tablets or 200 milligrams of caffeine tablets.
They were then shown a series of images. One day later, those who had taken the caffeine tablets were more likely to identify images they’d already seen.
So coffee may help reduce forgetting over 24 hours, but can it also help retrieve memories? This study suggests not.
