California's Crowded Ballot

Lower signature requirements have made this November the most crowded ballot in California since 2000, when voters had to decide on 20 different initiatives. This year, there will be 17 initiatives. 

This year's measures in California take on controversial issues like a $2 per pack tax on cigarettes, ammunition sales restrictions, marijuana legalization, two different death penalty measures (one that repeals it, one that speeds up the process), and on and on.
