Albert "Prodigy" Johnson, rapper with the Hip-hop duo Mobb Deep, is the curator of the Akashic imprint Infamous Books, aimed at bringing the crossover appeal of urban music to urban fiction. The authors of the new Infamous Books Swing (Infamous Books, 2014) by Miasha and Black Lotus (Infamous Books, 2014) by K’wan talk about the business of "street lit" and this imprint that brings it into the independent publishing world.
