After the results of the election, many people feel disoriented, and are having trouble understanding the world that they now live in. But one place this year where we saw a true connection between people and art is the theater. For this week’s Bonus Weekend Podcast, we decided to look back at some of the notable plays that have taken on American political life. Back in March, Richard Nelson had just premiered the first play in his “Gabriels” trilogy. In 2010, Alex Timbers discussed his rock musical “Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson," and in 2007 Leonard spoke to Frank Langella about portraying Richard Nixon on Broadway in the play Frost/Nixon.
