The Bergen County Freeholders passed a resolution Tuesday night calling on David Samson to resign as chairman of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Fort Lee and the George Washington Bridge are located in Bergen County and the Freeholders are angry about Samson’s possible role in the lane closure scandal.

"The freeholders are upset because because neither Samson nor the Port Authority board members have responded to their requests to discuss what happened," said New Jersey Public Radio's Terri Langford. "The measures they approved last night call for not just Samson but all of the New Jersey members of the board to step down."
