Neville has a bigger ego than McConaughey. I am quite sure you are NOT the first person to ever think about backup singers. You are not even the first doc filmmaker to make a film about the subject in general. Well over 20 years ago a doc film called In The Shadow of the Stars won an Oscar for best doc. It was about opera singers but essentially the same topic, just different music genre. Was it your uncredited inspiration for the idea?
