Live Performances From The Hit Musical 'The Band's Visit'

Three-time Tony Award nominee and Drama Desk Award winner David Yazbek joins us to discuss the new Broadway production of his musical “The Band’s Visit.” He’s also joined by NY Drama Critics Circle, Lortel and Outer Critics Circle awards winner Itamar Moses, who wrote the book, along with the show’s stars Katrina Lenk, Tony Shalhoub, and Ari'el Stachel. Four band members will also join in a live performance onstage in the Greene Space. “The Band’s Visit” tells the story of an Egyptian Police Band that arrives in Israel to play a concert, but ends up in a remote village in the middle of the desert. Over the course of the evening, the band gets to know the locals and their lives connect in surprising ways.

"The Band's Visit" runs through April 29 at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre (243 West 47^th Street, between Broadway and 8th Aves.).
