Assertive New Indie Pop From Tennis

Soundcheck | Mar 20, 2017

The husband-and-wife team of Alaina Moore and Patrick Riley released their first album, Cape Dory back in 2011, documenting their time living on a boat and sailing down the Eastern seaboard. Back on dry land and over the course of two more albums, Tennis polished and honed its brand of indie pop, but apparently, the lure of the sea was too much for them. Their new album, Yours Conditionally, was written on a boat again, this time on the other side of the continent. Alaina and Patrick are here to play some of their new songs for us, some with messages of empowerment and assertiveness, like this one, "Ladies Don't Play Guitar."
