In lieu of Donald Trump's immigration speech, Bill de Blasio, mayor of New York City, talks about New York City's status as a sanctuary city, one that follows certain procedures that shelters illegal immigrants.

"We have to have to have an open channel between police and New Yorkers regardless of immigration status," says de Blasio. "So they can come forward without fear of deportation."
