American Zionist Rally

Thursday, February 05, 1948

This episode is from the WNYC archives. It may contain language which is no longer politically or socially appropriate.

In complete recording: only sides 2, 3, 5, & 6 of original lacquer disc were transferred; some problems with identification.

Speech likely made by either Mayor O'Dwyer or Dr. Israel Goldstein: "The whole future of the United Nations is today pinpointed on the manner in which its decision on Palestine will be carried out. You cannot have international peace so long as you permit international murder."

Charles William Tobey, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Banking and Currency, is introduced, but only the introduction to his speech exists.
