South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley participates in a panel discussion during the Republican Governors Association annual conference Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015, in Las Vegas.

In his latest cabinet appointment Donald Trump nominated South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley for ambassador to the United Nations.  The 44-year-old governor is the first woman appointed to Trump's cabinet, and is likely to face questioning over her foreign negotiating experience, which largely consists of working with international companies on economic deals in her state.

Nancy Soderberg is a former U.S. ambassador to the U.N. who served during the Clinton years.  Soderberg will explain the significance of this appointment and give insight into the details of the job.
