Alton Sterling, Cell Phone Videos and Baton Rouge's Activism

Alton Sterling, 37, was shot and killed by Baton Rouge police early Tuesday morning after being caught selling CDs. Cell phone video of the shooting shows police shouting "get on the ground" and then shots being fired after Sterling was pinned to the ground.

Since Sterling's death, protesters have gathered at the scene of the shooting, the Triple S Foot Mart. The crowd grew to at least 200 people, including black communit leaders and politicians, according to the Advocate.
