Mark Sundeen, author and correspondent for Outside, joins us to discuss his new book, The Unsettlers: In Search of the Good Life in Today’s America about American families who have pursued alternative ways of living, in some cases off the grid and without many of the conveniences, materialism, and “the compromises of contemporary life.” Sundeen tracks the lives of several adventurous homesteaders who immerse themselves in local food movements and urban farms, bike coops, time banks and tool libraries, permaculture and guerrilla gardening, home birthing and homeschooling.

Mark Sundeen will be in conversation with Leslie Jamison at McNally Jackson at 52 Prince St tonight at 7:00pm. For more information, click here
