All Of It with Alison Stewart | Apr 2, 2021

Actor Caleb McLaughlin and director Ricky Staub join us to discuss the new film, "Concrete Cowboy," which also stars Idris Elba and comes out today on Netflix.

[REBROADCAST FROM JUNE 19, 2020] Author Walter Thompson-Hernandez joins us to discuss his book The Compton Cowboys: The New Generation of Cowboys in America's Urban Heartland and the history of Black cowboys in America.

As the week comes to a close, we arrive at the end of Passover and the beginning of one of the most important times on the Christian calendar. Today is Good Friday, so we thought we’d take a few moments to reflect on Easter this year with Reverend Cathlin Baker. Reverend Baker is the first female minister of a small and historic church founded in 1673 in West Tisbury, Massachusetts on Martha’s Vineyard, and she is an expat New Yorker.

Patric Richardson is the author of the new book, Laundry Love: Finding Joy in a Common Chore, and is also host of the new HGTV show on Discovery+, “The Laundry Guy,” streaming now. His new book seeks to change readers’ minds about the tedium of doing laundry and he’ll take calls from listeners about all things laundry, from stain removal, to expediting the whole process.

Richard Thompson Ford, a professor at Stanford Law School, joins us to discuss his new book, Dress Codes: How the Laws of Fashion Made History, which details the history of fashion and its influence on culture and society from the Middle Ages to today.
