Ailyn Pérez Debuts With The Met Opera In 'Thaïs'

Soprano Ailyn Pérez joins us to discuss her debut role in Massenet’s "Thaïs" at the Metropolitan Opera. Staring in the titular role, Pérez plays the role of a courtesan who lived during the time of Alexander the Great. She also discusses her performances later this season as the Countess in Mozart’s " Le Nozze di Figaro" and Juliette in Gounod’s "Roméo et Juliette."

"Thaïs" runs at the Metropolitan Opera (30 Lincoln Center Plaza, between W 62nd and 65th St.) through Dec. 2.
