Starts abruptly. Speech by Admiral Halsey discussing how best to defeat Axis forces. Discusses a need for an unprecedented sacrifice of resources and lives for victory. Also notes that at the end of the war many countries will need significant aid to reestablish normalcy, views this, in part, as an economic opportunity. Discusses the prospects of spreading Christian values.
