Find out some of Dinaw Mengestu's favorite picks!

What have you read or seen lately (book, film, play etc . . .) that moved or surprised you?

It's not new, but I finally recently saw Schenectady, New York by Charles Kaufman; I can't help but re watch parts of it over and over again.

What are you listening to right now?

There's a Swiss jazz orchestra that plays traditional Ethiopian jazz, The Imperial Tiger Orchestra.

What's the last great book you read?

It's not a novel, but I recently read The Collected Stories of John Cheever.
