What is Jett Williams, son of Hank Williams, listening to right now? Find out what he told us after his recent appearance on The Leonard Lopate Show.
What have you read or seen recently (book, play, film etc…) that moved or surprised you?
It sounds self-serving, but the Mother's Best Box Set presentation of my dad's lost recordings exceeded expectations--a 12 year effort reaching
fruition and millions of old and new Hank fans.
What are you listening to right now?
If it's real, if it's retro, if it's traditional country music, I'm listening. If it's cookie cutter Nashville bubble gum music, I'm not interested.
What’s the last great book you read?
I read about 60 books a year--some good, few bad. I read for entertainment--the closest is Ferrol Sams' Peter Osborne, Jr. trilogy--it's a snapshot
of simpler times, when values were valued.
What’s one thing you are a fan of that people might not expect?
Bass fishing at first light or sitting in a deer stand one hour before sunrise listening to the day come to life.
If you had one day left, how would you spend it in New York City?
Anchored in a small boat looking at the Statue of Liberty. If I couldn't get to the boat, then sitting in the art deco bar atop the Beekman Tower
Hotel communing with the muses.
