Operation Dark Heart

Wednesday, October 06, 2010

Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Shaffer was part of the “dark side of the force” in Afghanistan, the shadowy elements of the U.S. government that function outside the bounds of the normal system. In Operation Dark Heart: Spycraft and Special Ops on the Frontlines of Afghanistan and the Path to Victory, he tells the story of what really went on—and went wrong— in Afghanistan. He also addresses why the Pentagon has destroyed copies of the book.

Suppression of the Able Danger story is the only plausible explanation of why the Pentagon felt it necessary to destroy this book down to its last letter. Can we please drop the "conspiracy theory" epithet and honestly try to find out what really happened on 911? It doesn't seem likely.

America, it’s getting curiouser and curiouser in the political correctness of the books we burn, don’t burn and the people who get vaporized.

While I respect Mr. Shaffer, and believe he's sincere.. I don't think he's at the level of knowing what the CIA is really doing in Afghanistan.

Leonard, please ask him about this:
This guest is so important to understanding the cover-up of 9/11. He ran a DoD program called Able Danger, which was a data mining program to identify and track all potential terrorists, and the alleged hijackers were on the watch list. He tried to spread the word BEFORE the attacks, and was stone-walled.

Leonard: Please ask Mr. Schaeffer about Wikileaks; Did it endanger the sources, as DOD claims?
