All very lovely snow job from MI6 , the author complete with an ‘overseer; to make it completely safe !. . . how to change the facts Philby was a communist because of British politics at that time did not want to confront Hitler yet in the book the author says ‘this is not mentioned’. the Royal Prince of Wales actually wrote to Hitler a letter of approbation as a total embarrassment to the crown! . . and as for the middle east , the need for resources i.e. oil was much more important than the lives of holocaust victims a deep embedded British anti-Semitism. And the Poles first broke the Enigma machine contary to the author or should one say the Irish Blarney, of the well paid author.

What's your feeling about Roger Hollis?
Was he a mole or is Peter Wright's book "Spycatcher" settling a personal score

You're thinking of the Zimmerman telegram which was not forged, but real. British Intelligence did make sure the US found out about it though. I also think, but not sure, that it was from the foreign minister not the Kaiser.

Anyone who likes these subjects should read "Between Silk and Cyanide" by Leo Marks who was the UK's code maker during WWII
