Autumn is a beautiful time of year. It's also a beautiful metaphor for change, the seasons of life, and the acceptance of loss. Autumn-as-season, and autumn-as-metaphor appear in countless songs, and host David Garland presents a carefully selected range of autumnal evocations old and new, featuring Joanna Newsom, The Stone Poneys, Mia Doi Todd, Dave van Ronk, Johnny Hartman, Jeri Southern, and many others.

Great show but not without Billie Holiday's "Autumn In New York". I waited in vain for her lovely refrain.

Enjoyed it all, but especially thanks for playing the Incredible String Band at the end- "Sometimes I want to murder time, sometimes when my heart's breaking" - always loved that song---
If you should do more autumn, heard a solo piano piece called "The Chrysanthemum" several years ago oneither your show, or Sarah Fishdo- who is the composer?

Thanks always
