Garbage Fees

Whether the city will try charging residents to take away their garbage is unclear, but Michael Bloomberg said on his radio show that there is, potentially, an upside to the idea.

“There is a social redeeming [benefit] in charging for fees because it would force people, you would think, to recycle more.”

Sort of like congestion pricing, but for garbage.
