What is Vendela Vida's favorite film? Find out what she told us after her recent appearance on The Leonard Lopate Show!
What have you read or seen lately (book, film, play etc . . .) that moved or surprised you?
I recently saw Noah Baumbach’s film “Greenberg” and was incredibly moved by the very last line – I thought it was a perfect ending.
What are you listening to right now?
The music of Thao
What’s the last great book you read?
The Razor’s Edge by W. Somerset Maugham
What’s one thing you’re a fan of that people might not expect?
I love silent films. I was at a film festival in Lapland (when I was researching “Let the Northern Lights Erase Your Name”) and I saw a silent film accompanied by a live orchestra – that was one of the best experiences of my life.
If you only had one day left, how would you spend it in New York City?
I would spend it at the Film Forum. I used to live close to the Film Forum when I was in my early twenties. I spent a long winter with a poor heating system, so I’d spend a lot of time at the Film Forum, warming up.
