The stern of an NYPD Harbor vessel is filled with parts of US AIR Flight 1549 that police officers recovered from the Hudson River on Thursday January 15, 2009. Pictured are a deflated raft, flotation cushions, and parts of the aircraft itself. Not pictured are an aircraft door and 15 pieces of carry-on luggage recovered from the river by officers on board 10 NYPD harbor launches and four NYPD helicopters that responded within minutes of the crash landing on Thursday. All belongings and debris will be turned over to the NTSB as part of its investigation.
