Armed Civilian Patrols in Brooklyn

The leader of a radical Jewish group is causing a commotion in the city by calling once again for Jewish civilians armed with guns or baseball bats to patrol the streets of Borough Park and South Flatbush to deter terrorists. A man wanted by the FBI told 60 minutes those Brooklyn neighborhoods had been potential targets in 1993. This is not the first time Rabbi Yakove [Yah-KOVE] Lloyd has urged Jews to take up arms – over the past 15 years he has repeatedly chagrinned leaders of long-established, unarmed civilian patrols. WNYC's Marianne McCune reports.
