A House Party for DTW's Birthday

For the last 40 years, Dance Theater Workshop has been a hothouse for new experimental dance and performance art. Artists ranging from Mark Morris to Whoopi Goldberg have performed there. DTW, as it is affectionately known, celebrated its birthday earlier this week with a house party at its West 19th Street studios.

Forty different performers took over the entirebuilding--the dressing rooms, office cubicles, the trash room, the kitchen. It was free and open to the public.
