Mayor Bloomberg Pushes for Political Independence Not Presidential Run

On his weekly radio show, Mayor Bloomberg insists the meeting next week in Oklahoma is about nonpartisanship...and not about him entering the presidential race as an independent.

BLOOMBERG: Thing is not to advance any particular agenda, other than openness and giving public info they need to make intelligent choices.

HOST: The mayor went on to talk about how candidates are reluctant to address tough issues, because of their fear of alienating voters. He declined to say who he thought would win the White House.

Bloomberg also suggested it could take until March before the candidates for the general election are known.
