Congestion Pricing Dies in the Assembly

In a closed-door meeting of his Democratic members, Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver says a majority would not support congestion pricing, and he would not bring it to the floor for a vote.

WNYC’s Matthew Schuerman tells Amy Eddings about the day’s events, and whether Mayor Michael Bloomberg will keep fighting for his plan to reduce traffic by charging drivers a fee to enter Manhattan south of 60th Street.
