Thompson Seeks Answers on Mayor's Term Limits Plan

Monday, September 01, 2008

City Comptroller Bill Thompson is demanding that Mayor Bloomberg tell voters whether he plans to seek a change in the city's term limits law and seek a third term.

THOMPSON: Nothing has been on the record and the mayor has sidestepped the issue.

REPORTER: Thompson is a potential Democratic candidate for mayor next year. He made his comments to NY1 during an appearance at the West Indian American Day Parade in Brooklyn. Mayor Michael Bloomberg did not address Thompson's remarks directly. Instead, he praised American democracy for allowing Thompson to express his opinions.
