Saigon Grill Owners Arrested

Thursday, December 04, 2008

Two owners of a popular New York City restaurant chain have been arrested and charged with falsifying records and tampering with evidence during a legal dispute with their workers.

Owners of the Saigon Grill on the Upper West Side are facing charges by the Attorney General's office — more than 150 counts, including falsifying business records related to wage violations.

Nearly 40 Saigon Grill delivery workers won a landmark federal lawsuit this fall, and were awarded more than $4 million in back pay and damages.
