New York, NY —
The 12 New Jersey counties hardest hit by last month's flooding will be getting federal aid. President Obama's declaration makes funding available through the Federal Emergency Management Agency. That aid can include grants for temporary housing repairs, low-cost loans to cover uninsured property losses and other programs to help individuals and businesses recover from the March 12th nor'easter. Federal funding also will be available to eligible government agencies and also some private nonprofit organizations for repair or replacement of damaged facilities.
