Mozart 250 Special Features:

Monday through Friday at 2PM, Soundcheck will explore an aspect of Mozart's music or life.

All week long, Evening Music kicks off at 7PM with some of Mozart's most beloved compositions.

At 8PM, Fred Child of NPR’s Performance Today presents a performance from Salzburg, Mozart’s birthplace, in celebration of the anniversary.

At 9PM, Jane Glover, acclaimed conductor and author of Mozart’s Women, examines the profound effect women had on his life and work, and we hear some of his stunning creations for the female musicians he loved.

Fred Plotkin, author of Classical Music 101 and Opera 101, joins us at 10PM to put some of Mozart’s most pivotal compositions in the context of his colorful life and travels.

Listen past midnight, as Overnight Music presents the pinnacle of Mozart’s operatic achievement with great recordings of The Marriage of Figaro, Don Giovanni, Così fan tutte, and The Magic Flute.
