We Are One: The Obama Inaugural Celebration

President-elect Barack Obama's inaugural celebration launches this Sunday with a free concert at the Lincoln Memorial, featuring musical performances and historical readings from an array of stars. WNYC will carry the event live on our HD and Internet channel, WNYC2.

Musical performers scheduled for the event include:

  • Bruce Springsteen
  • James Taylor
  • Stevie Wonder

Among those reading historical passages will be Jamie Foxx, Martin Luther King III, Queen Latifah, and Denzel Washington. Lisa Simeone, of NPR's World of Opera, will host.
