On March 22 of this year, Mr. Steiger and Leonard Lopate discussed the intense actor's career, which reached from Brando to Broadway and spanned roles as diverse as W.C. Fields, a Jewish concentration camp survivor, and a racist Southern sheriff. Hear the interview.
