Yosef Yerushalmi’s Zakhor: Jewish History and Jewish Memory and the Coen Brothers’ “A Serious Man.” And I can’t wait for the newspaper movie fest at Film Forum.

What’s the last great book you read?

The new Peaver-Volokhonskaya translation of Tolstoy’s short stories.

What’s one thing you’re a fan of that people might not expect?

Rabbit. Not the pet, The dish.

If you only had one day left, how would you spend it in New York City?

You mean if I couldn’t spend it with my family? At Film Forum. All day. All night.
