Mayor's annual party for the city's underprivileged children. Master of Ceremonies, Colonel Edward Rickett, introduces Santa, Deputy Mayor Horowitz, and Mrs. Impellitteri, and the Sanitation Department band performs "Jingle Bells," and the children sing along. Rickett asks Santa about the weather in the North Pole, his trip down to New York, the reindeer. Mrs. Impellitteri speaks to the children. Rudy Halley and his wife say hello to the children.
Col Rickett tells the children how to receive their presents from Santa, and instructs them on how to line up. Unnamed WNYC reporter describes the chaotic scene and Mrs. Impellitteri's dress.
