Here’s the one-minute highlight of the Working Families Party convention this weekend in Buffalo, where Sen. Chuck Schumer said, “I thank the executive committee for their vote of support a few months ago. Of course I will be honored once again to be your standard bearer.”

The comments from Schumer, who just may be the next majority leader of the United States Senate, are particularly noteworthy since they came two days after his party’s gubernatorial candidate, Democrat Andrew Cuomo, said he won’t take the Working Family Party’s support while there’s an ongoing investigation into them by the U.S. Attorney’s office.

Schumer left the convention without taking questions.
