Episode #116

Lounge Lizards-The Undead

« previous episode | next episode »

Friday, June 17, 1988

The Lounge Lizards, from New York and Jamaaladeen Tacuma, a Philadelphia bassist, create music that's often thought of as a weird hybrid form of jazz. With its mix of ethnic, funk and other forms, it's difficult to pin down, though it's fun to try. We'll hear form some of the individual members of the Lounge Lizards, as well as the group itself, and we'll sample Tacuma's eclectic album, "Music World."
News, weather, Radiolab, Brian Lehrer and more.
