A program of Japanese works that range from quasi-traditional flute solos to electronic ensembles with a very Western sound. Includes a live performance by one of Japan's greatest living musicians, shakuhachi master Yamaguchi Goro: and a record by the Japanese group Danceries, which somehow combines new music and early European music and gets away with it.
