Paul Simon's hit album "Graceland" introduced the music of South Africa, especially the vocal group Ladysmith Black Mambazo, to a mainstream America audience. With that came the realization that American pop, at least partially rooted in African music, has traveled back across the Atlantic and has influenced a whole generation of African musicians. "Beyond Graceland" is a fascinating look at the results of this extraordinary musical cross-pollination.
