This edition of New Sounds showcases several recent releases by artists from around the world, including the latest from DJ Cheb i Sabbah, an excursion into the devotional music of India. From Spain, hear the flamenco wizardry of singer Miguel Poveda and from the US, selections from David Krakauer's Klezmer Madness CD, The Twelve Tribes. There's also music by Kandia Kouyate, the Mali-born Griot who is backed up by her six-man acoustic band on her CD, Biriko. Plus, Juan Martin, Ben Allison, and many others.
