Program #2234

The People have spoken and the results are in for the 18th annual New Sounds Listener Poll, spotlighting (most of) the best new-music releases of 2003. Sorting through the responses, the color commentary isn't that different from years past. Some of the usual suspects ranked highly this year, such as Ryuichi Sakamoto, Evan Ziporyn, Bill Frisell and the Cold Blue record label. There were also some relatively new artists, like the string quartet Ethel and the Clogs. Thanks to all of the listeners who voted.
