Music made with metal and stone is featured on this edition of New Sounds. Jocelyn Pook has worked in a variety of media--theater, dance, television and film, including a celebrated score for Stanley Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut (1999)-–but she has also composed for more unusual instruments, as in "Tango with Corrugated Iron." Other highlights include Doug Wieselman's "Saved," for electric guitar and cinder block, Stephan Micus's "Music for Stones," and more.
