Last season's New York Guitar Festival ended with a nine-hour marathon at the 92nd Street Y, offering a freewheeling lineup of classical, jazz, blues, and international guitarists. We hear excerpts from this event, including Ben Verdery's 16-guitar ensemble performing his minimalist-inspired "Scenes From Ellis Island." Andy Summers (pictured), formerly of the Police, leads a jazz trio, with Ric Fierabracci on electric bass and Anastasios Panos on drums. Bill Frisell on electric guitar and Greg Leisz on lap steel guitar play a duet version of "Hard Times Come Again No More/That Was Then." We also hear from Alex DeGrassi, Mark Stewart, and Bucky Pizzarelli and Frank Vignola.
