This Week's Divorce Tales: Why Did They Break Up?

Monday, May 24, 2010

Those glasses didn't break on their own. So what really happened? How did the family go from a stable home life to vacations in Maine with a "new friend" sitting next to you in the front seat of the car?

As part of our on-going dialogue on the D-word, we want to know the straw that broke the camels back in your parents' divorce. Tell us your story.

We’ve been talking to our parents about their split about the better times, and the nuclear fallout that followed. What did we come up with? We’re pretending to be our parents, telling it like it was. Watch the video below for all the messy details. And check out the latest comic strip by Nikole Beckwith.

Over the next couple months, we’ll post more clips from our show.

But in the meantime, we want to hear your tales.  Contribute your story, below. And see other people's stories, here.

Want to interview your own parents on the subject like we did? Take a look at The Civilians’ Method to get you started.
