When concertgoers hear the Miro Quartet on Wednesday Feb 12, they'll be listening to the music, and the players, of course; but those in the know will be paying particular attention to the sound of the Miro's instruments. Rather than the venerable old violins, violas and cellos one associates with the great string players, this set is brand new.
