Singer, composer, and mystical adventurer Larkin Grimm returns to Spinning On Air to talk about Musicka Mystica Maxima, a festival featuring two nights of performances that seek to reclaim music's ancient association with ritual, trance, and "magick." The festival takes place Mon., Sept. 21, and Tues., Sept. 22; for more info see the links below. Larkin joins host David Garland to present music by festival participants John Zorn, Daniel Higgs, Spires that in the Sunset Rise, 4th Sign of the Apocalypse, and Arrington de Dionyso, as well to perform her own incantatory songs in the WNYC Studio.
