While I can't speak on how well Fmr. Gov. Ventura's TV show and book are researched. To me, some of his views seem to have some basis in reality.

For example, Cap and Trade which he decries as a money grabbing scheme. Earlier in the year, I heard a story on Freshair ( where a legit journalist - the editorial director for the Center for Investigative Reporting, also echoed the same sentiment.

Love this guy! Neither of our two political parties represent anything any more.

Mary Surratt was the first woman executed by the Federal Government. It was alleged that she participated in the conspiracy to assassinate Lincoln.

regardless they feared this guy and with the ability for EM/ELF to interfere with and disrupt steel, you cant say that his budget was what produced problems with structures in minnesota... and other governors and its legislature have that power over the power...and besides unless you're a structural engineer or know enough about structures, but again, you're spouting what the wag teh dog press has fed you.

While Jesse may have cut taxes in Minnesota, it's clear that they weren't maintaining critical infrastructure--there was a major bridge collapse there caused at least in part by deferred maintenance. The bridge was rated structurally deficient back in the 1990's and received no attention.

Cut taxes but then you don't have enough to maintain infrastructure, Jesse.

What a clown. I've seen his show and it's laughable. In one episode, he was shocked that a top-secret gvt location wouldn't let him in uannounced even though he's a former Navy Seal, ominously asking "What are they trying to hide???" Haha, classic.

"Nobody studies anything"? Now that's what I call irony.

at the very least he questions the garbage fed by the wag-the-dog media to the huddled masses. whether his take aways are perfect are another matter. and that he questions the status quo is something they fear and frankly all of you na sayers above, were YOU navy seals. Go ahead, condemn this guy, but unless you've got creds in your thing as tough as surviving being a navy seal, you're all nattering nabobs. and given what I've seen - as having been a 911 survivor, and given what he's endured with not only the intelligence apparatus, but that he's got some of it... he deserves some respect. And considering drivvle i've heard over the years, coming from 'ivy-league' and other 'emperors' without clothes, these people despise when the truth comes out into the public domain.

on the anthrax, that is public now, nsa or gov but it was alleged to be some sort of rogue element out of dod or ftmeade, but it's been 'solved' by the 'gov'. people who knew about bio warfare any way said it was a US military strain of anthrax... so they leak a little bit enough into the public domain to hang themselves.

on Lincoln, the europeans and those here in the US powerful enough to fear lincoln putting us back under the Constitution, which was suspendend when the south ceceded from the "Union" were behind the conspiracy to murder lincoln.

I guess that the producers of the show feel compelled to get in line when laughingstocks such as Ventura publish a book and need to flog it, but, come on, this is a waste of WNYC airtime.

If this interview starts to drag, I recommend you mention the Illuminati and the world wide Jewish conspiracy. That should get him excited.

There are numerous videos by the former governor easily found on-line in which he expresses the most bizarre and nonsensical silliness.

Thank you for having him!

Can you ask him about the anthrax attacks in the early 2000s?

Jesse your the Bomb!
Keep up the good work governor.
I love hearing a former politician and governor no less, speaking unwanted truths to the people of America.
Always entertaining governor.

Just to alert you, President Obama stated during his election that he intended to go into Afghanistan and finally clean up the area of Al Quaida. He never said that he was going to walk away and end all hostilities. The war on terror is still going on. Obama is just getting it back on track. As for Iraq, he is just finishing up what was started in the previous administration. We do have a responsibility for that since we decimated the country to begin with.

I wonder if Jesse is opposed to a group making money (a government and traders) or underlying act of pollution. Perhaps the solution is criminal charges and jail time for executives.....Is that the other solution? Or is he just against taxing business for 'bad acts'?

Jesse, just because cap-and-trade is ineffectual doesn't mean global warming ("climate change") isn't real!

I'm so tired of this clown. His show is as shallow and poorly researched as anything on TruTV. And you're giving him (and TimeWarner, which pays him) such legitimacy, Lenny. His global warming show was factually inaccurate and has been proven so by many sources. He deserves a fact check. Bad job.

I predict the first fallacy Ventura will pull out of his butt is "freefall speed"

freefall speed facts.

if weight dropped from 110 floor to ground level : 9.2 secs.
wtc2 30 top floors fall from 80th floor to ground level :15 secs.
wtc1 top 15 floors fall from 95 th floor to ground level: 22secs

Has Governor Ventura checked out what allege?

The flight path of the plane that hit the pentagon on september 11th noted by the ntsb contradicts the eyewitness accounts; (check it out

And has Governor Ventura ever read "Intelligence matters" by former senator/governor Bob Graham?
That is the only other public official that I have heard of that makes a lucid case that the previous government was involved in shady activity.

"Lies, Lies, and More Dirty Lies that the Government Tells Us"?

Much as he "proved that deficits don't matter" (Dick Cheney), so Ronald Reagan proved that honesty in politics is a sure-fire ticket to a law practice in . . . Minnesota, appropriately enough, as they used to say about Walter Mondale.

The lies we're told are the lies we, the sovereign people, want to hear--to include the profitable lie that we want to be told (or better, "deserve" to be told) the truth.
